National Three Peaks

The National 3 Peaks 24-hour challenge is a famous UK trekking challenge that involves walking up and down the 3 highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales all within 24 hours.

The challenge also includes the driving from Fort William, in the Scottish Highlands, to Wasdale Head, in the Lake District, and finally on to Llanberis, in Snowdonia. The driving distance is around 450 miles and takes an average of 10 hours to drive. This means that the ascent and descent of the 3 mountains (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) must be completed within 14 hours or less, making this is no easy challenge.

We provide bespoke packages for groups of 6 or more people as well as Open Bus National 3 Peaks Challenge events for individuals who are interested in taking part in the challenge with others.

All of our National 3 Peaks events are guided on all 3 peaks by experienced mountain leaders to ensure that your trek is safe, fun and as easy as possible.

Our 3 peaks challenge packages also include pick up from a range of North West locations that can be agreed upon when booking as well as a transfer to a drop off point.

Prices from £330 per person

The starting point for Ben Nevis is the Visitors Centre where you can receive up to date information on the conditions at the summit of Ben Nevis. The route used to climb Ben Nevis is the Mountain Track. This is the best route for summiting Ben Nevis without the need for climbing equipment or extensive previous mountaineering experience. The Mountain Track might be the easiest route up Ben Nevis, but it is still a challenging ascent.

You will climb all the mountains of the National 3 Peaks Challenge with our qualified and first aid trainedUK mountain leaders to ensure that not only do you complete each summit, but you also stay safe during the climb.

The highest mountain in Scotland at 1345 M.

Scafell Pike is the smallest of the national 3 peaks, but this doesn’t make it an easy climb. Scafell Pike boasts a steep start which can test your weary legs after completing Ben Nevis with a seemingly never-ending incline.

The starting point for Scafell Pike is the Wasdale National Trust Car Park. The car park is next to a campsite that has a hot food/drinks trailer, information booth and toilets. This is the ideal location to start climbing Scafell Pike. The Wasdale route has a very steep start and a few rest stops might be needed when climbing Scafell Pike.

You will be guided up each mountain in the Three Peaks Challenge by our qualified mountain leaders who are also first aid trained. They will be on hand to ensure you follow the right route and keep you safe during the climb.
